okay gonna be a bit raw here: mindshift is technically in development hell right now.

doesn't mean I'm not working on it.

doesn't mean it will never be done.

it just means that due to me lacking (and thus having to acquire) the skills needed to properly finish the game, that it may take a while.

doesn't help that I try to have a healthy relationship with this project.

like I'd be lying if I said the speed some other gbstudio devs have gotten their projects done hasn't made me feel pretty insecure but I have to keep telling myself that the projects aren't the same.

like mindshift is a fundamentally more complex game than what a lot of people are releasing with gbstudio (which tend to be much smaller experiences as well as... arcade games which are less challenging to push out the door). This isn't to say that those titles were EASY to make but rather that because of mindshift's scope it will be much harder. I think in some respects I may have bit off more than I can chew with this project but dammit if I'm not gonna still swallow every last morsel of it even if it kills me.
